Commercial Description:
Cask: Seasonal - June.
Inspired by SIBA’s Wheat Beer challenge in 2001 we produced a 4.8% abv beer using 40% Wheat Malt and 60% Malted Barley. To underline the continental heritage of this beer we uncharacteristically, brewed with choicest Hallertau hops from Germany. This award winning brew has been described as ’wheat and sweet’. It is light in colour with a moreish dry palate.

Cask at the Royal Oak, London. Hazy, golden coloured ale with a reasonable head. Wheaty, malty, citrus, banana aroma and taste. Refreshing, slightly sweet. Nice beer, especially after 4 pints of it.

A Mes rate: cask at the Brewers Arms, Lewes.
Cleanish gold with a thin bubbly white head. Wheaty and zesty with some good lemony fruity notes. Nice and spritely, slightly estery. Yeasty and bready finish with more late lemon. Decent stuff.

Cask at the market porter. Alround rating: Banana fruity wheat esters, pale malts come through a bit, peachy wheatness as your gouing on. Decent balanced stuff. Having had it at the brewery i gave it same score with nearly exact same rating.

Cask handpull at Royal Oak, London. Odd cereal, orange-y citrus flavour on this one. A bit like a tangerine with a woody flavour to it. A bit like a wooden box of oranges. Some clove spice. Bit of juicyness from the malt. Didn’t like it at first, but it grows on me. Good strongish bitter.

Cask at Harveys pub in Southwark The Royal Oak 21-06-08 Pours light amber, no head surprisingly clear. Some spices and fruit but big on clove, there is a ginger taste which leaves a mild burning finishes with a gentle bitterness, quite nice.

Cask at the Dorset Arms, Lewes, 12th June 2008. Clear orange amber with a line of head. Citrus and coriander notes make for a spicy nose. Orange peel and wheat beer flavours rule the taste. Firm and flavoursome in the mouth, with a lingering finish but perhaps a little flat.
