Dark ruby amber colour with a mostly diminishing frothy off-white head. Lightly acidic and roasty coffee aroma with notes of bittersweet chocolate. Bittersweet chocolate, lightly roasty, lightly acidic, and fruity flavours with a faint metallic tinge in the roasty finish. Medium bodied, smooth and almost silky mouthfeel. Flavour is liquorice, roasted malt, salty black bread, oats, strong coffee and dark chocolate. Rich, full bodied, very well balanced, bitter, dizzying tongue texture. Terrific! Complex nose: coffee, choclate, vanilla, smokiness. Sweet. Medium bodied and nice smooth feel in the mouth. Minimal carbonation. Good flavor. Sweetness but not cloying. Chocolate, coffee. Good stuff.
