Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

Clear, light gold with a billowy white head. Fairly heavy malt aroma. Smooth, almost oily consistency, with a bit of tingly hops in the thick malt profile. Looks and tastes like a heavy lager.

Bottle thanks to Book_M_Dano. Enjoyed New Years eve 2006. Pours straw colored with champagne like bubbles. Spicy light bitterness and hints of grain sweetness in the aroma. Hay and grain. This is a bitter brew. Spicy hops dominate the flavor with hints of nothing else. There is little body to this one and the flavor is one dimensional. No malt to hold up the potent hops. Maybe I had a bad bottle as others seem to have enjoyed flavors mine completely lacked.

Bottle, 500 ml. Thin creamy, mostly lasting head over a clear pale orange/golden body. Pleasant fresh and floral hop aroma with notes of citrus. Taste is mellow and complex. Dry malt, grapefruit, honey, mild spices and delicate hops. Medium body. Supersmooth mouthfeel. Medium bitter dry finish. Very nice!

Classic oily hopsack nose a la Church End. That flowery, resiny hop/ honeyish- yeasty balance again. Very aromatically hoppy. A definite nibble of rose. Rolls around the mouth oozing bread, honey and floral hops. Great ’length’, as they say. Just the right parting bitterness. A very cheeky specimen.

Pours a hazy golden with a thin white head. Sweet malty aroma with a dash of citrusy hops. Flavor is soft and malty ... burtonized water, perhaps? Light carbonation, malty flavor with a nice rounded citrusy hop finish. Not bad. Similar to the Wychewood brews I’ve had.

500 mL bottle. App.: med-light amber, decent white, foamy head. Aroma: floral, sl. citrusy hops, lemon-limey. Palate: med.-low carbonation, med.-full body and somewhat creamy. Flav.: light hops, less citrusy than the nose (phew!), a bit of malt (crystal, cereal). Not bad overall.

Small bitterness in the flowery aroma. Very clear, orange colour. Thick foam. Complex bitterness which exaggerates itself in the finish. Flowers, nuts and grass. Yummy.
