Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

500mL bottle. Pours a clear, golden-yellow appearance; white head with good retention and lacing. Light, bittery lemon hop aroma. Crisp carbonation, slightly acidic, plenty of fresh, citrusy hop taste in the palate; medium mouthfeel, dominated by the bitterness; minerals and a touch of cotton candy; bitter and slightly dry on the finish.

Pours light copper with a medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lime and light caramel. Good balanced body, with a medium bitterness... Citrus hops combining with a simple light toasty sweet malt. Bitter finish.

Huge offwhite creamy head shrinks quickly towards a copper body. Complex, harmonic aroma of floral hops, honey, rubber, and wet paper. It’s good, but there is some not so good mixed in. Taste is deep, flowery honey, with smoky, citric notes, and touches of paper. Aftertaste is dry papery malts. Slightly lacking in body. Not at all bad. (0.5l bottle.)

Bottle, in honor of that Scotish Socialist, reid. Long live Socialism, that most successful of the various forms of government. Pours a nice witish yellow-orange with a nice head and lacing. Aroma is straight-up lemon with hints of rose. Flavor is a floral lemon flavor with bits of thistle, or at least a flavor that reminds me of what a thistle would taste like if I had ever tasted one. Mouthfeel is full. Nice beer; a definite repeat as well as a mouth-puckerer.

Looks decievingly like a standard lager, then it reaches out and gives a real punch. Hops, hops, hops, grassy, flowery and bitter (and twisted). Try it if you can find it!

500ml bottle, courtesy of my wife. Clear light gold with a dense white head - a pretty pour. Nose is a bit grassy, a bit grainy, with a mild citrus hop presence. Light palate, flavor is pleasantly hoppy citrus (lemon?), some grass/grain. Finish is similar to the flavor, with the bitter hop flavor in the fore. A syep up from a lawnmower beer - maybe a grill operator beer?
