Won’t buy it again. Love the company but not this beer. Too bitter, without depth. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2006 For being bottled with 1/3 less CO2, this sure pours with a big layer of head. Straw color with persistent, cream colored bubbles. Sort of a sweet, buttery aroma, with light warmed fruit. Think butter and jam on scone, touch of lemon. Something about the aroma is a little dissident though. I keep sniffing it, trying to figure it out. What do these smells mean? My inclination is that my nose is finding the German/British hopping combination a little odd. I get just a touch of cloves as well. Modest, but definitely present chewy hop flavor. A lemon cheesecake sort of sweetness. Enough body to make it satisfying. This didn’t quite feel like it came together for me, but it is distinctive, pretty clean, and enjoyable. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Pours absolutely crystal clear. A Golden amber color with few tiny bubbles and a small but thick foamy white head. Aroma is bitter fresh citrus and a little grassy. Taste is very clean, fresh citrus (lemon, orange) with a little hint of spice and a bit of warmth to finish. Very enjoyable. WISEGUY572 (1247), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2006 Golden clear amber with a small head that vanishes leaving little or no lacing. Not surprising in a beer that is low in alcohol and in body. Wonderfully hopped, spicy and bitter, with a long bitter finish. A wonderfully refreshing session beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 30, 2006 A dark orange beer with a thick dense off-white head. The aroma is fresh with a lovely note of hops, making it very fresh. The flavor is fresh with a nice crisp malt accent on which is a nice hoppyness giving it slight hints of grass and lemon. Very refreshing. Miksu (2240), Jyväskylä, Finland
