Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

Slightly orangeish shine in deep golden beer, small white head. Beautiful UK (!)hops nose, great nose, way more hoppish than most Scottish beers. BIt of grain in the background. Soft sweetness with a typical overlying hops taste; in the background light citrus taste, mainly orange. Refreshing beer, dry hopping is overtly clear and very welcome. In its light style, superbly achieved beer with original streaks.

Nice citrus taste in this drop, medium/light bodied but not too watery, a touch of zest and green apples. Clear orangey golden body with an average size white head. Aroma is all citrus again, not strong but quite pleasant.

Bottle, notes from Dec ’05. Golden yellow pour. Lemony and light malt aroma, with some hops. Light malty and lemon flavors, some metallic hop notes.

The bottle poured a sparkling clear light amber beverage with a small white smooth head that was mostly lasting and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was primarily malty. There was the presence of lightly toasted grain and notes of bread. There was some evidence of hops in the background but it was subtle. The body was medium to full with a nice level of carbonation and smooth creamy texture. The flavor started off lightly bitter. The finish was long and pleasantly bitter as well.

Bottled. Clear, golden beer with a white head. Aroma has malt, hops, peach and lime/lemon citrus notes. Flavor has some pine-notes, and malt, citrus and hops. Medium body with a bit stickyness, and a long dry finish. A good beer, but certainly not worth the £12 asked for here in Kristiansand. (060213)

Pours to a brilliant, deep golden color, with a tight, white head that fades, and a soft to moderate carbonation. The nose on this beer has very good herbal/gassy hop aroma. The palate has good pale malt flavor, with light estery fruit, followed by more pale malt flavor. This beer finishes with malt up front, then ends with a vibrant, but short burst, of herbal/grassy hop bite that lingers. The bitterness in this beer is good. A good dose in the nose, and some good lingering bitterness on the tongue.Great session brew. I’d have no problem plowing through a few pints of this one.
