The smell was sugary but still rather bland. However, once this Scottish brew splashed in my mouth i was amazed. Very citrusy, a lot of orange flavors in there. High on the carbonation level which is not a bad thing for this style. The name speaks for itself. Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

But defenitley, in cask is better, cool rodent. JFURYCAT (791), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 6, 2005 The aroma of fruit was appealing. The taste had a citrusy tone (I actually prefer the aroma) with some malts/hops thrown in. This isn’t like the other British ales I’ve had over here. It has a the carbonation but the lemony angle sans a bitter aftertaste was a nice change. However, it could use more spunk in the long run. hopscotch (5495), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2005 Bottle... Clear, light golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Citrusy aroma with notes of lemon and green tea. Perfectly balanced and very drinkable with hints of lemon and Tetley’s tea. Light-bodied, but satiny with lively carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. nonicman (6), Australia does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 28, 2005 Purchased in London from Saliburys Golders Green. Small head, low carbonination. Pleasant citrius aroma. Good hop spicyness with citrus bending with the sweet malts, a lingering bitter finish. Really enjoyed this bottled beer served at around 15C, nice to taste the hops. Papsoe (15003), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 23, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very pale golden, with a small head. Rather low in carbonation. Very delicate and spicy hop character from no less than 4 hop varieties. Very refined and lovely. 040803 PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Hoppy aroma, lemony and herbal. Some hint at skunking, weird because its a brown bottle, but it may not have been lightstruck but a hop-related herbal note. Golden color, small head faded to nil. Fresh hops flavors are spicy, with a somewhat oregano-like herbal quality as well. Malts not special. Clean, surprisingly. Light palate. Strong hop finish. I can only imagine the cask version. shoestring (187), larkhall, Scotland
