Very fresh and clean lemon, orchardy citric flavour. Nice, crisp hops on a slight leather malt base. Very good balance. Not the biggest in terms of agression or crunchy hops, but a very proficient Golden and rightly revered. Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark

Well, it IS very nice. Close to excellent, but I wouldn’t call it a champion though. It lacks a bit more aroma and palate in my opinion. It is, however an ale with a very promising aroma, a nice, small head and a bitter, rounded flavor. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2005 Pours gold with minimal white head. Aroma of pale malt, big hops, some citrus and female taint. Tastes malty, hoppy, with some apricot, coriander, and lemongrass elements at the finish. Smooth, crisp finish. The mouthfeel is medium. Not as bitter as a woman who finds her husband getting a happy ending from a Japanese masseuse or as twisted as a woman who is into golden showers, but damned close. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2005 Poura blonde with little head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is malt with a hint of citrus. I get mostly malt flavor upfront a touch of pine and grapefruit and more citrus lemony bitter flavor at the end that I like. It is quite carbonated in the mouth and almost has an acidic dry feel to it on the palate. A very drinkable ale and a great session beer and definitely something different. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2005 This has a lemony, spicey nose with a light, pleasant maltiness; lightly carbonated, nominal head; quick, pointy bitterness, a little musty and malty over some tart citrus hopping; I think this would be pretty good fresh...otherwise, not so much pilsnerrogge (1792), Finspång, Sweden
