Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

Great beer with notes of sun tea on the nose, light hops on the palate, and a crisp finish.

16.05.2009, 0,5l Bottle. Yellow hazy colour. Firm white head. Aroma is dominated by hops. Very well balanced beer with bitterness, aftertaste and malt.

Really like this beer. It has a spicy feel to it. Usually i like the beer with strong head, which this beer doesn’t have. Yet i still enjoyed it. It was very smooth to sip on and aftertaste was light. Its not as bitter as other beers i enjoy, but definitely has a zesty bit to it.

Clear amber pour with chunkies in it. I poured this beer down the center of my glass and literally had no carbonation which let me know something was wrong. Aroma was fresh hop and resin. Taste was way off, definitely some kind of infection or something. No mouthfeel, only water, taste was wet dog and dog food. To be rated again at a later date.

bottle. Well, this is like tasting lemon dish soap if you ask me. The flavours of lemon here are uncanny. This beer slowly grew on me (but doesn’t most?) the more I ate my nuts and bolts. The 4.2% is nice and light. It is almost too sharp and sour taste both on mouthfeel and finish to say anything that good. If you want some lemon beer, try this. I will give it credit for pulling off the lemon flavour. Why are the Scottish so hard on themselves that they want their beer to taste so sharp?

Bottled. Pours golden. Aroma of citric hops. Well carbonated on the palate. Flavor of citrus and bitter hops. Aftertaste is a little thin, though pretty nicely bitter.

Golden coloured, and a bit hazy. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Nice aroma, notes of fresh water, clear hops. Crisp too. Flavor is lightly sweet and finish heavy bitter. Dry texture. Lots of flavor and aromas for the 4.2% abv.

ENGLISH EXACT TRANSLATION: Wonder of a light beer, very intense taste for such a low ABV. One might talk about its rich cerealish maltiness or its multiple layers of crisp hopped bitterness that is both citrusy and leafy but it is really as a whole that this beer rteveals itself as being simply amazing. In Quebec, of course Hopfenstark’s Blonde Ostalogia rivalizes seriously as the best golden ale available but since this one is much easier to find (SAQ), I had a lot of this Harviestoun wonderbeer this summer!
