Commercial Description:
The filtered bottle version of the 3.8% cask ale.
Note: This is not the beer that won Supreme Champion in 2003.
"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

500ml bottle, bright golden color, with an off-white head, nice spicy floral hop, leafy, grassy, lime, lemongrass, lemony nose, with a light honeyed pale malt, note, with a hint of ginger in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodeid palate with sweet fruity, toasty, biscuity malt chareacter, with a good flowery hop lemongrass accent and some grasy, leafy, zesty, lemony, grapefruit flavors, leading towards a malty, spicy, spritzy, limey, grassy hop bitterness finish.

50cl @ Beer Hunters’ British Days. Golden, mostly disappearing small white head. Nice fresh grapefruit nose, biscuit malts and little cheese. Biscuity flavor, some hay, moderate citric hops, fresh lime and mint in the finish.Flavor fades fast, bitterness lingers on. Light to medium bodied, a tad oily, strongly carbonated palate. Fairly crisp and fresh summerbrew, just slightly hollow.

Bottle. Golden yellow colour with a white head. Fresh, crisp and easy drinking session ale. Spicy/floral hops, lemon, sweet malt, almost a bit lagery (not in a bad way). Nice but the cask version is better and more bitter.

Nice slightly bitter ale for your reckless consumption and afternoon delight. Goes well in the sauna, that is, if you have one. My childhood home has two. I have a cat. I am drunk.

Uma cerveja impressionante. Muito aromática, no aroma apresenta ervas, pimenta, cítrico. No paladar complexo, tem ervas, tangerina no final. Encorpada, boa espuma, coloração âmbar. Excelente custo benefício.

Bottle 500ml. Clear lager like gold colour, nice whitish head. Faint citrus and hops in aroma. Just like the name says, there’s lots of bitternes and twist in taste, some citrus, dryish. Aftertaste is lasting, alcohol, toffee, hops.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of fresh malt, sweet sugars, fresh grapefruity hops and a bit of a pungent kick - nice! Medium-bodied; Bright fruity flavours with more hops than malt, but a good backbone to nip through the grapefruity and slightly piney hops. Aftertaste shows more sweet than bitter, but a good amount of hops coming through as well. Overall, a pretty nice and complex beer - definitely more than what I was expecting from the bottle! I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased from McHughes Off-License in Kilbarrack (Dublin County), Ireland earlier today on 20-Feburary-2009.
