1. Cask Handpump at the Penny Black, Northwich (JDW) 23/02/2001 Fresh hop aroma. Citrussy flavours. 2. Cask Handpump at the Penny Black, Northwich 19/05/2004 Golden amber coloured and smooth on the palate. Some alcohol and a slightly bitter dry full malt finish. 3. Cask Handpump at the Penny Black, Northwich 15/10/2004 Golden colour with some citrus fruit flavour. Slight dryness and bitterness in a creamy finish.

(Cask@Gallows Bird, Espoo) Slightly hazy golden color with a small, but very persistent and lacy head. Quite pleasantly aromatic-hopped aroma with a hint of toffee. Slightly nutty, American-hoppy flavor with mild toffee hints. Light to medium-bodied with low carbonation. Yeah, this would probably be nice, if it wasn’t the 15th sample tonight...

By this time, my tongue was getting tired of BItter, but this one got a different flavor, it was refreshing, but bitter.

Soft, peachy flavour which develops into a proper hoppy aftertaste. I balances finely between the sweet and the bitter. Nice!

Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. Golden, white head, with a lovely nose. Great hoppy blend - just like the bottle, but fresher. Some strawberry, grassy hop and specks of sweetness, carefully blended. Harviestoun really are one of the UK’s best and mosrt reliable brewers.

Aroma is citrus with lime zest and grapefruit, coming over grassyhops. Taste is similar even more bitter than i remember with a dry infinitly refreshing aftertaste. Its pritty good i can get this all summer in wetherspoons in glasgow

Cask (gravity) at Olde Dolphin festival, Derby. Disappointing given the beer’s rep and my bottled version rating - this was fairly middling, plain jane citric notes and nothing to recover a too-bitter finish.

Golden yellow, thick white creamy head with great lacing. Hoppy, buttery nose with yeasty hints. Acidic, fruity flavour with hints of toffee. Low bitterness in finish. Watery mouthfeel.
