Cask at Thomas Rigby’s, Liverpool. This unusually spelled bitter has a deep gold, almost amber colour. The aroma is fruity and hoppy. American hops are definitely noticeable in the taste whose predominant flavour is grapefruit.

Cask (Maidenhead Inn JDW,Basingstoke) - Amber with a bit of a haze. Slightly soapy and hoppy aroma with some chocolate and peach. Fairly bitter and hoppy taste with some chocolate and raisin notes. A pleasant hoppy and fruity finish. Very nice.

Cask - Glasshouse Wetherspoons, Norwich. A dark copper colour with a small white head. Citric hop aromas with hints of grass and tea. Flavours of grapefruit with a big, lasting bitterness. Full bodied and bursting with citric flavours, though dominated by grapefruit.

Cask in the New Crown. Aroma is citrusy grassy hop, very typical of harviestoun. Taste has a more malty aspect to it, caramel aswell as biscuityness. Alright, but im reconing in better shape it would be better.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Copper gold with a small white head. Citric aroma. Strong grapefruit taste and medium bitter finish. That’s about it: grapefruit beer. Thanks for nothing.

In Nuneaton ’Spoons demolishing this one right now (’Game Burd’). Perfumey chlorophyll and citrus snout packed with tomato leaf, spliff and grapefruit. Wow. Enough sweaty hop resins to take your head off. Haven’t been able to taste because of The Fever, but I can taste this one alright. Perfumey American A/IPA-like citrussy hops in the mouth ripe with grapefruit, mandarin and huge hop bitterness. Creamy vanilla malt, oats, Dry Roasted and Twiglet rounding things off. Merciless, aromatic and superb. A better beer in JDW or Nuneaton you will not find.

Cask handpull at Market Porter. Copper, with thick lasting beige head. Bit of tea, otherwise a decent hoppy bitter. Nice lasting bitterness. Just a bit too much tea for me. OK bitter.
