Cask @ some bar, London. Golden colour, white head. Beer is fruity, with citrus. Soft mouthfeeling. Typical golden ale. Nice one.

A Mes rate. Cask handpull at Baker Street ‘Sporks.
Clean dark gold with a thin white head. Very bready with a slight hint of diacetyl giving it a wholemeal and butter character. Decent hops but they are just not supported well. Harviestoun can do a LOT better.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Pale amber with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing. Citrus hop aroma with a touch of summer fruit. Flavour had some grapefruit, elderflowers and a decent dry finish.

Cask, half pint at JDWs Unit 5,Victoria. Copper-golden. Lacing head. Dry fruit hoppy aroma. Fine blend of fruits like grapefruit, lemon and orange in flavour. Dry bittersweet endnotes. Refreshing and easy to drink (London, 05.05.2009).

Cask handpull at Hinckley Spoons. Red gold with a flat white lid and speckled with lace. Good wring of lychee and nettley hop in the nose with added caramel. Totally flat with a pleasant mellow rub of soapy citrus hop; lychee and stewed tea wth a punchy bitterness softening into slate, oats and lingering malted milk biscuit. Robustly hopped and balanced but not their best.

Cask handpull at The Hope Tap, JDW, Reading. Paleish gold, thick creeam head. Nettle hop blond beer. Quite harsh on finish. It’s an ok slightly sweaty beer, but very bitter hoppy finish, especially for the ABV, quite spicy.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes, in ’Spoons Real Ale Festival. Gold with a large white head. He had to coax this one out; the very dregs of the cask, and not surprisingly a bit warm. He was reluctant to serve it to me. ’Please,’ I begged. ’I’m a ticker.’ Probably some floral hop in the aroma, but the large head didn’t help. Taste is oily grapefruit. A sharp bitter finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Edgar Wallace, London 3/7/08. Pale amber with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing. Citrus hop aroma with a touch of summer fruit. Flavour had some grapefruit, elderflowers and a decent dry finish. Good.
