Commercial Description:
Available in pasteurised bottle from Sainsburys.
This beer is a great accompaniment to haggis. It's brewed using pale and crystal malts and well hopped with Fuggles, East Kent Goldings and Styrian.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Nose of fruits, hops and malt giving a fresh bouquet. Pours a clear amber beer with a small head. Tatse is citurs, fresh and floraly hopped. A nicely balanced beer giving over to a bitter finish. A very light body belies the flavours of this beer, definitely one to be repeated.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys, 21st Jan 2007. They say this is ’well hopped’ and they mean it! Pours a clear amber with a frothy, subsiding head. The aroma is pure floral hops and the flavour a nice mix of hops, citrus, fruit and a light smoky note. The mouthfeel is perfect - the beer is light and easy to drink, but with sufficient robustness to make each mouthful worth savouring. It certainly has enough flavour to hold its own with haggis. Recommended.

Bottlle bought in Sainsbury’s. Poured a lovely copper color with a medium white head. Fresh hoppy scent, though it smells a bit watery. Malty taste with a little bit bitter twist, bitter after taste. Not a bad beer.

Bottle, pours a clean amber with a large foamy white head. Citrus fruit at the front of the nose, but further along the aroma releases earthy malt. Some roasted malt on the palate, but the flavour is mistly a citrus hoppiness. The bitter finish is a bit understated. Not much going on her, but not bad either. Maybe it would be better if I had some of that haggis....

500ml bottle from sainsbury’s, poured a golden colour but the head was soon gone, strong citrus smell on the nose but when tasted the flavour is so much grapefruit dominated that there seems little room left for anything else, the finish is neither dry or subtle in any way, just seems a bit watery to me and prety one dimensional, one to aviod for me

Pale to mid amber with a large white head. Aroma was malty, rather peppery and metallic. Taste of toast and marmalade with a strong bitter finish and lots of fizz. Not a bad beer, but it lacked a certain reserve and refinement.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. A golden amber colour with lots of white head leaving some lacing; quite highly carbonated. Quite light to drink with a malty taste, then a pleasantly bitter aftertaste leaving the palate dry.

Unfortunately I didn’t have any haggis on hand to try with it - according to the back of the bottle... "Hunted in the heather covered hillsides of the highlands, these reclusive creatures traverse the hillside only in an anti-clockwise direction, due to the unequal length of their legs." - as my shotgun has a clockwise bend in the barrel I’ll never bag one of the blighters!

(500 ml bottle brought by a friend from London) Clear copper color with a medium size lasting tan head. Fresh hoppy scent, though it smells a bit watery. Malty taste with a little bit bitter twist, bitter after taste. Watery mouth feel.
