(bottle - 330 ml - 2009 vintage) Dark black pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is very potent with lots of wood and whiskey notes. Some smoke and vanilla as well. Flavor begins sweet and buttery with lots of roasted malts, oak, and whiskey. Flavors give way to a dark and roasted middle with some coffee in there as well. Smooth finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has powerful notes of whiskey, roasted malt, wood, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, wood, whiskey, burnt coffee, dark chocolate, and soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted finish. The alcohol burns lightly in the top of the throat. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.

Bottle. Nice fat chocolate aroma, tar, peat and some mild smoke. Almost black colour, red shine. Small brown head. The flavour is nicely coffeeish and creamy. Later comes a mild peatiness with some smoke. The mouthfeel is also creamy, low carbonation. Very late coffee aftertaste. Good.

Bottle at PIB. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is leather, vanilla, chocolate and some roast. Flavor is chocolate, roast, tobacco, leather. Solid beer, and of course it’s just how I like my women...18 years old.
