Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle. Export only for B. United International.
The regular Old Engine Oil has been filtered and pasteurised then left in single malt whiskey casks for six months. This allows the flavours of the beer to blend with the flavors of the whiskey.

roasted coffee, balsalmic vinegar, aged cheese and a peaty smokiness on the finish. bitter and distintly alcoholic at the end. Too earthy, smoky and expensive for everyday drinking, but it’s nice nonetheless

Beer pours pretty much black with a modestely retained dark tan colored head. Aroma is fairly benign with notes of dark chocolate, bit of vanilla, some wet wood. Flavors of wood, significant vinous flavors, and lots of eathiness. Didn’t care for this much on the initial taste, but it grew and expanded as it warmed. Might be really good at room temp.

Poured with a huge head, thick and creamy with good duration. Dark brown and black with brown foam. Flavor is sweet with slight bitter aftertaste, alcoholic presence. Good thick and creamy on the palate. Very good overall, did not dissapoint.

12 oz bottle, via footbalm. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, colored body under a creamy one finger medium brown head that retained a good long time. Aroma is chocolaty with a light roastiness. Some dry yeast, moderate hoppiness, light vanilla, oak, and a little alcohol. Flavor is chocolaty and oaky up front, well balanced between the two, then fades to a dry somewhat tannic whiskey laden finish with a good dose of alcohol. Alot of oat malt comes out late, making for a very earthy finish. Mouthfeel is oily indeed, with nice soft carbonation. Finishes a little hot and drying. Overall, not bad, but the late finish was quite alcohlic and a little too whisky-like for me.

Poured black with a very thin head that barely lasted five seconds. Aroma is of chocolate, oak, whiskey, with a hint of cheese, maybe an aged swiss. Flavor is similar to the aroma except it has an added flavor as if the beer were filtered through an old sock. The mouthfeel for this beer might be the worst I have encountered. Flat and grittily astringent. To me this beer seems to be infected. Though looking back at my rating for the normal old engine oil I suspect that this is the brewers intention.

Pours a deep rich black with a decent tan head. The aroma is fruity and of whisky with malty sweetness. The whisky flavor dominates the palate but there is some maltiness. Carbonation is not perceptible to the palate and the finish is smooth.
