Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle. Export only for B. United International.
The regular Old Engine Oil has been filtered and pasteurised then left in single malt whiskey casks for six months. This allows the flavours of the beer to blend with the flavors of the whiskey.

Bottle: Aroma was sweet and of wet wood. Black body just like oil and good tan head. Sweetness all though the beer with a chocolate presence to equelize that sweet flavor. Smooth easy drinkable beer that leaves a sweet aftertaste.

Bottled version. Clearly marked 8.0% ABV. Oily black color with a thin tan head. Strong molasses aroma with a hint of dark fruits and just enough whiskey smell to make things interesting. Aroma is again dominated by molasses with a decent amount of whiskey at the finish. Really good stuff.

Peaty smokey sweet nose. Opaque almost black body with a tiny vanishing head. Sweet chocolate and coffee, dark malt, dried fruit, but perhaps overpowered by the whiskey cask aging.

Bottle from Super Saver. Blackish pour with almost no head, and it is less engine oily than the regular version. The aroma is of big molasses, dark roasty malts, chocoff, some oaky bourbon, and some sesame oil. The flavor is roasty malty, with some chocoff, oaky bourbon, some figs, and more of that sesame oily soy saucy element tat detracts a bit from this. The palate is medium. Not bad, but I expected more. Still, this is worth trying.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon, molasses and vanilla. Flavor has dark fruits, molasses, bourbon and a bit of oak. I am really getting tired of bourbon barrel aged beers.

Pours black with a modest, spattered head reducing to a full, creamy canopy that lasts the duration. Aroma of espresso, smoke, coaco, and honey. Full, rich nectar with a few residual effers in the mouth only. Texture of pure cream baby! Flavors of roasted honey, coffee bean, copper, coaco, old leather, charcoal, stewed vegetables, and earth with a mild sweetness. I can faintly taste the cask. It’s got a peaty, smokiness about it that reminds me a an Islay malt. The finish has a perfect bittering. Overall: a fantastic brew that goes well with aged cheddar and crackers. Trump. Highly recommended.

(bottle - 11.2 oz) Dark brown in color with a very thin tan head. Aroma is a shot of wine. Lots and lots of alcohol, bourbon, and wine. The flavor is the same. Extremely potent but very tasty and full of wine notes and dark fruits. Are we sure this is only 6%?

Bottle: Black in color, looks very much like a stout, ruby hues, moderate sudsy beige head, spotty lacing.   Soft oaken nose, pale malts, slight peat, a bit of roastiness.   Mellow sweet malt flavors melded with soft oak and vanilla accents.   Smooth, yet somewhat thin.   Very clean.   Not as dark or heavy as I thought it would be.   Sweet finish, minor fig and peat.   Spikes of vanilla and oak linger.   A lighter Old Ale, but the Whiskey casks accentuated this one.   Enjoyable, and very easy to drink.
