Pasteurised bottle. Export only for B. United International.
The regular Old Engine Oil has been filtered and pasteurised then left in single malt whiskey casks for six months. This allows the flavours of the beer to blend with the flavors of the whiskey.

Black with a red tinge. Carbonation is negligible. Very viscous, oily consistency. Treacle and licorice in the aroma. Woody, malty, pruney fruit and caramel flavours. Very rich. Sweet and sour finish. Nice. Bottled.

Poured very deep and dark, nearly black, but some ruby highlights show when the light hits it just right. Minimal carbonation and an aggressive pour only stimulates but a thin head. Very intriguing aroma. Vinuous, woody, malty, fruity, extremely inviting! Taste is surprisingly smooth. Malty, fruity, woody. Raisins, figs. Wine/madira type profile as well. Ever so slight hops in the finish. This is truly a sipping beer. Alcohol is nicely kept out of the way. Quite an impressive beer to keep you warm on a chilly December evening!

The name is aptly descriptive, but, believe it or not, in a good way. Oily and flavorful with rich coffe syrup and wood flavors predominating. Definitely worth a try.

clear deep brown with red hints, foamy beige head. toasty, woody, boozy nose with raisin, toffee and roasted malt. flavour starts sweet with vanilla, chocolate, red liquorice and hard candy, then moves tart , woody and a bit winy in the finish. nice.

Black as night.Big aroma of Roasted malts, and a hint of whiskey.I was thinking it would be the opposite.I didn’t get a strong whiskey or chocolate nose like I was expecting.Flavor was really strange sour fruit and then malts.Where is the whiskey???

This beer rocks!... Very dark, caramel-colored ale with a small, light brown head. Rich, malty, peaty aroma with huge notes of Scotch whiskey. Malty, pungent, whiskey flavor. Full-bodied and creamy with light carbonation. Lengthy, malty, warming finish. World class Scottish ale. Recommended!
