| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2009 500ml bottle from First Choice liquor stores into a pilsner glass. A clear straw coloured lager with small white head. Aroma of sweet fruity malts. Feels smoother than your average mass produced lager with a tastes of grainy honey malts. The advertised grapefruit taste occurs later with a crisp dry hop bitterness in the finish. Sessionable and refreshing. Fin (3420), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Bottle that I’m unsure where it came from but I would imagine a certain Mr Garvieuk would be the most likely person to put this my way in a Cropredy box. Pours hazy golden with a thin white head, nice malty aroma and there is a really nice streaky citrussyness about this predominantly lemon and grapefruit. Well impressed with this it finishes with a really nice lingering bitterness, very decent. A6 A3 F7 P4 OV14 3.5 highlandlad (1258), Sydney, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2008 An unexpected treat from a country where quality lagers are few and far between. The Harviestoun range ranks among the best in Scotland, so I was delighted to find it in Australian bottle shops - and at prices that compare favourably with those in its homeland. This situation is too good to last, so I have loaded up while I can. Schiehallion is a hazy gold with hits of tangerine and a lasting head. There are nice lifted tropical fruit notes in the aroma - lychee, canned peaches, plus fresh hay and uncooked dough. The palate is much softer than commercial lagers, and all the better for it. This is lip-smacking good, zesty and as refreshing as a walk in the Scottish mountains. Decent grapefruit bitterness, lychee again and a satisfying buzz in the finish. Very sessionable. I could drink a lot of this over summer. [500ml bottle from Vintage Cellars, Clovelly. BB July 09 2009] goozen (1088), Leiden, Netherlands

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2008 500 ml bottle. Label says 4.7% abv, possibly watered down for the Norwegian market (or more likely relabelled). Golden colour. Clear. Medium-sized white fluffy head that clings to the glass. Rich malty aroma with lots of earthy and floral hops. Spicy hoppy flavours with a rich maltiness. Oily texture with a sharp cutting hop bitterness. Very refreshing. Reminds me more of an ale than a lager, but thats likely because there is a lot of things happening in the beer, much unlike most other lagers. Crisp hop bitterness in the finish. A really nice flavourful beer. The perfect session beer. gunnar (577), Sandnes, Norway
