Commercial Description:
Cask: Regular. The bottled version has a separate listing.
Brewed with lager malt and Hersbrücker and Challenger hops. Fermented with a lager yeast, but treated in every other way as a cask ale, save for a week or two of cool conditioning prior to release.
Named after the misty mountain near Pitlochry. Has won numerous awards as a cask conditioned beer, including three times gold winner at the Great British Beer Festival.

Slight shady golden color, smal whit ehead. Nice fresh fruity, grape, pine and citrus hoppy scent, also malty sweet. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high, close to perfect, bitterness. Slight hint of coffee and roasted malt in the aftertaste. Subtle sweet and hoppy scent.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear light amber orange color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel notes, light hoppy, citrus - grape. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)

Cask @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours lightly hazy golden with a nice, creamy, white head - good duration. Aroma has some rye, oranges, biscuits and light citric and earthy hops. Low carbonation - fine mouthfeel. Flavour is surprisingly fruity and light tart at the beginning. Turns soft and malty with a drying, burning spice and hops sensation. Perhaps it’s been on a bit too long?

Cask, Geordies Byre, Ayr. Golden colour with a creamy white head. Citrus fruit aroma with some hop. Slips down smoothly. Favour is quite complex; sweetish grapefruit with notes of herb and spice. Dryish finish. Very refreshing and not really in the typical lager fashion - to its credit. Very good stuff.

Tasting notes from 2003 harbury beer festival. This was my first cask lager. Hoppy aroma with some malt notes. Golden with thin white head. Fruiter than I expected. Dry finish.
