Quite a good malty hop aroma, nice grainyness in mouth and then peppery hop towards the end. Dry malt throughout. Hey, I liked it. Hop on end was good. berkshirejohn (1838), Bracknell, Berkshire, England

Reddish chestnut with a cream head; berry fruit aroma; good body with a syrupy fruitiness, and a toasty bitter finish; a definite hint of blackcurrant - my favourite berry - makes this an excellent beer in my opinion. Deep dark malts that give a heavy fruity flavour without going into porter territory. Remaining bitter and dryish throughout there is a touch of hop on the finish to round the beer off. Quite reasonable methinks. Fin (3494), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Heyford Hill, Oxford, 21-09-07 This was a much much better beer than the Gales ’Swing Low’ rugby themed one I’d started the evening with. Poured standard brown colour, some fruit on the nose (but I didn’t get blackcurrants) tasted fruity and malty with real nice hoppy bite at the end which took me quite by suprise, not sure what the hops were but they certainly lashed out. Not bad at all! Magicdave6 (5559), London, Greater London, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2007 Bottle from sainsburies. Aroma is bready and biscuity, citrus and grassy hop. Taste is similar but slightly over carbonated meaning it loses a bit. Alround a decent beer. maeib (4776), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Bottled. A dark mahogony coloured beer with an off-white long-lasting head. The aroma is dry and bready. Some oats and a little fruit. More bread in the flavour together with toast and a touch of coffee. Pretty good. downender (2646), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Bottle from Sainsburys. A special for the rugby world cup. Reddish-brown color with a decent off-white head that proved long lasting. Carbonation was moderate. Aroma of red fruit with a whiff of hops. Flavour was of fruity malt with a decent hoppy finish. Not bad for a pasteurised beer.
