Aroma of sweet caramel malt and a touch of piny hops. Body starts with a sweet viscous caramel maltiness, a hint of raisins and brown sugar and a nicely-balanced, bittersweet, mildly warming finish. A good barleywine. Ernest (4217), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 22, 2006 12oz bottle made from a bomber (heaps of thanks to TAR).

Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Quite delightful...maybe a little too sweet, but a really inviting fruity & malty nose. goldtwins (3731), Nesconset, New York, USA Aug 18, 2006 Poured a slightly hazed amber color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was sweet and thick with malt, toffee, and apples. Light hop citrus in the back. Notes of alcohol. Fruity malt flavor. Plenty of apple. Fresh apples, dried apples and even apple cider. Flavor of toffee as well. Nice warming sensation. Mild bitter finish. bu11zeye (3656), Frisco, Texas, USA May 10, 2008 (22oz bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head.
