(22oz bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of spruce, caramel, toasted bread, light floral, and a hint of burnt plastic. Flavor of sweet caramel malt, mild hops, and herbal characteristics with light bitterness in the finish.

22oz bottle. Murky orange brown color with a small tan head. Figgy alefruit, caramel, tinges of alcohol in the aroma. Earthy, nutty flavors with raisinbread. Hints of cocoa and nutty oxidation. Alcohol, vanilla, and residual bready and fruity malt sweetness in the finish. Mouthfeel is heavy, somewhat chewy and hot.

10th Beer of the Beer Spot Tasting Sunday March 30th, 2008. Bomber I brought, came to me via trade, samuraiartist perhaps? Vintage unknown for sure. Pours deep amber, bubbly. Taste is sweet with a brandy character, and caramel. Taste is sweet, caramel, chewy, malty, very nice, an little oxidation has taken place, but its adamn good brew.

Thanks to El Gordo for bringing a bottle of this by over the weekend. Between a group of friends who scored some of these from the now defunct Sindees in PDX, this is the last one. Other old bottles of this had lost carbonation, but this one was well carbonated with a bubbly grey head. Nice deep amber and brown body with lots of sweet caramel malt presence. Fruity and hot with alcohol. NOt a bad beer. RIP might Hawks!

Pours brown/amber, with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hops, and fruit. Flavor is caramel, malt, fruit, and hops. Body is a little thinner than expected, but it doesn’t really take away from it. It’s sad to see Hawks no longer in business. Thanks Ezra, for this bottle.
