Kind of cidery.Where's the Hops? I'm not an expert on Kolsch but this is a fairly drinkable beer. Brent (116), Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2002 Lightest color beer I’ve rated. Golden color, clearer than the tap water in some places. Smell of baking bread, one of the most interesting smells I’ve had in a beer. Tastes sweet and lemony. As you near the end, the sweetness fades. Not much of an aftertaste at all. Interesting beer. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA

mostly lasting white head is very creamy, and has fair lacing. The clean fresh nose is
toasted cereal, and light resinous hops. The flavor starts sweet, has almost no acidity, and
has a long sweet nutty finish. This ale has deceptively full body (going on color) - I would
say medium. The texture is light, creamy, and fizzy. The finish feels dry. This is a very
interesting brew - I’m not sure what to think. If you like something different, this is
definitely for you. Of course, I feel the Kolsch style defies convention description
anyway. baseballguy (246), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

I would call this medium-bodied, with a surprising amount of maltiness given its light hue. Rather long finish with some European-tasting hops. Clean. booyaatribe (453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
