Feb 25, 2003 Nice deep dark choolate syrup/motor oil pour. Fresh, molasses, pruney like aroma, bit of chocolate to sweeten it up. Thick, dark pour with a caramel color head and a fair amount of lacing. Excellent stout flvaor - hint of bittersweet chocolate and burnt coffee. Flavor does not let up throughout the entire 12 oz - does not sour or bitter up. Overall - an excellent stout! Thanks Aurelius for this one.

Jun 18, 2001 Black (and I mean BLACK) in color. I held the glass up to a light and couldn’t see through it. Absolutely no head, but I won’t hold that against it. A smooth flavor with a slightly creamy chocolate aftertaste. For a second, I thought I was drinking sarsparilla or real root beer.

Aug 5, 2001 Find a bottle that hasn’t been sitting long. Pull out your favorite beer food (bangers and mash, personally). Eat and drink. It’s good. 8-) This is a lighter stout with good chocolate flavors (if you get a young bottle). The head doesn’t exist.

Aug 20, 2002 Color of dark chocolate, scent of chocolate and bread. Mmm...the chocolate taste is really pronounced. Not too sweet though. Although its awfully thin to be a stout, I enjoyed this beer.
