Commercial Description:
H.C. Berger's Indego is brewed with eight imported and domestic malts. Well-balanced, with a creamy malt flavor, this is an alt (old ale) to remember!

This is the most mild pale ale I have tried. Underhpped. It Has a crisp taste, but really no depth of flavor.

cant quite put my finger on it, but there is something very funky in this pale in both the aroma and the taste....as bad a pale ale as i’ve had.

orange color; little to no head; very faint hop aroma. Bready at first and flavorful but fades quickly. Very thin palate.

A little too restrained in hops for the APA style. Not bad, though.

Overall, one of H.C. Berger’s more acceptable offerings. Still nothing spectacular, however.

Original rating: 4/8/01 - Interesting sourness to this style of Pale Ale, which is a little on the dark side for such a beer. Nice for spring or fall days. Update: I have a bottle that I brought back from CO myself...it has a different flavor profile than the bottle I got down the street. The malt is a little more evident, and the sourness is still there, but not as much. Somewhat spicy finish. Low carbonation and head.

Weird nose on this one--ketchup?! Tastes better though--kind of malty, with a decent amount of hops, just not enough to satisfy this hop head.
