Commercial Description:
H.C. Berger's Indego is brewed with eight imported and domestic malts. Well-balanced, with a creamy malt flavor, this is an alt (old ale) to remember!

Amber with a slight chill haze, scant off-white head, slight carmel malt aroma with earthy floral hops, light malt flavor and body, light bitterncss in the finish, boring

Deep amber color with a skinny off white head. wooden/paper toasted malt aroma. Thin feel and tastes. Very metallic and "old tasting. Not alot to this one for redemption.

A very citrusy ale - and I wouldn’t say it’s from the hops. It’s almost like a grapefruit flavor. Imbues a bitter/sour taste. Interesting, but not captivating.

Completely not what I expected. This one pours a light brown color with a very light creamy head. The aroma is complex and does not smell like a pale and I think this should really be labeled as something else. Flavor is balanced but only slightly, there is a battle going on for flavor dominance in this ale. Creamy and full in the mouthfeel, with a taste that is slightly musty and sweaty sort of like a california common. It is well worth a try though if you can find it. I happened to find this one while driving across Wyoming of all places.

Nice clear amber color, the head is beige, the lace is adequate. Nose is malt, citrusy, hints of the hop flower, crisp and clean. Starts sweet, the top is light, the finish is lightly hopped and a bit dry, moderate carbonation. A drinkable beer, average may be a better term. Ranks #866 on my master beer list.

Another mediocre beer from a brewery that I have trouble mourning the loss of. Ok malt but lacks any real hop contribution. It’s not good for an APA or an English pale ale. If they’re trying to pass it off as an alt, I’m not so sure.

Almost copper in color with an odd sour nose. The flavor is good, but not what I would expect from a pale ale. At the bottom of the glass the sour flavors come forward. I’m not that familiar with alt beers, but this is not the flavor profile I expect from a pale ale.
