Sep 26, 2007 Had this beer on 2/11/1998. Color is a deep rich red, good carbonation and nice head. Aroma is a mild scent of toasted malts, no noticeable hops. Taste is a heavy but smooth flavor, it stares off with a creamy body full of roasted malt flavors. Goes down well and finishes buy leaving you with a nutty malt taste and a slight hop bitterness. Its a very well rounded beer with rich flavors all the way around. This would be a good beer any time you’re in the mood for a nice full flavored beer.

Sep 20, 2007 12oz bottle- A medium amber body with a good head and an aroma of malts and slight hops. Taste of the same with a little more hops than malt.

Aug 15, 2007 Yes, I have found some old notes. Rudy copper color with a moderate off-white head. Simple caramel aromas along with a touch of raisins and floral hops. Flavors follow aromas in simplicity, but things are a touch dryer than the fruit and caramel suggest. A bit like dry toast.

Apr 14, 2005 Oh, come on! This is beyond doubt the worst beer I’ve ever tasted. It’s filth. The stench alone is enough to turn most stomachs.

Dec 8, 2003 Reddish brown with a very thin head. Nose is slightly vinous, slightly sour with a hint of toffee. Flavor is earthy and slightly medicinal. Not one of my favorites.

Mar 24, 2003 Very strong hops in the nose and the sip. Very overpowering. Not very appealing, not my style admittedly. Good appearance and mouthfeel. Just too hoppy for me.

Feb 9, 2003 Ruby red in color with a thin head. More malt than hops in the aroma. Reminds me of Killians red, the Coors version. Not bad if you like the style.
