| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2002 This beer poured out a very deep red color with a slightly darker cream head. An aroma of malt and other smells. It had a very sweet taste to it, not normally found in most red ales that I have tried. A little heavier body than most reds. Better than some of their others, but maybe it’s because they were less cute.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2002 Clear, dark-red in color with a healthy head. Aroma is sweet and full of malt. Flavor is also somewhat sweet and creamy. Immediate aftertaste has a roasted malt thing going on. A very nice beer. jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2002 Deep red color, nice fluffy head and a strong, malty nose. The flavor is all malty sweetness with an almost grainy after taste. I didn’t get much of a nutty flavor. Okay beer, I guess. belgianhomebrew (646), Acworth, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2002 Big malt aroma and flavor w/ a touch of caramel. Very little biterrness. The caramel malt overpowers the beer. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2002 A very delightful red. Nothing special, but a beer you could easily sit down and drink a six pack of and enjoy. legion242 (1582), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 24, 2002 Bright red in color; No head; Malt and candy in the aroma department. Huge malt presence assaults the tongue. Medium to heavy palate. Like a thin barley-wine (Young’s Old Nick). Continues to thin at the 1/2 mark. Drinkable. Better then the rating may indicate. booyaatribe (453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 20, 2002 not enough head. This brewer seems to have a problem with that. This has been one the weaker specimens from the sample pack so far.
