Not as bad as your average American macro brew, but not a whole lot better. It is sort of crisp with a slight citrus twist. bubslang (438), Kentwood, Michigan, USA

| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 25, 2002 this is an ale? sure didn’t seem like one. tasted more like a really bland pilsner - very little hops, very very light (the name ’snowman - an ale’ kind of fooled me into thinking that this was going to be a winter warmer - what a fool I am!). The taste was just way too light and nearly non-existent. when it warmed up a little, at least it had some funky taste to it. just not very good at all. DavefromChicago (201), Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2002 I picked this bottle up by mistake, thinking it was a winter ale. its really a light tasting, warm weather brew comparable to better American macrobrew lagers. Might be good with asian food. On the whole though its undistinguished - faintly hoppy aroma, a touch sweet, more of a thirst quencher than a palate pleaser. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 17, 2002 This is the first H.C. Berger beer I have tried and it is wonderful. Very smooth and refreshing. Pleasantly mellow flavor with little or no aftertaste. One of my favorite American beers. legion242 (1588), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Dec 18, 2001 Very strange almost green hue; thin head; a little spice in the nose.
Thin palate, mild hops. Thin citrus flavors, almost nothing there. Bit of grassy notes at the end. Hoss (602), Florida, USA
