I rated this beer before checking out the average on the site, and I am shocked by the low score. I found this beer to be quite a surprise. Although the appearance left much to be desired (clear orange in color, no head), I found everything else to be quite excellent. It has a strong malt and floral aroma. Flavor is semi-sweet on the front, hoppy on the back end, with medium carbonation. Quite a surprise. I call em as I see em, and I liked this one.

This is the first H.C. Berger beer I have tried and it is wonderful. Very smooth and refreshing. Pleasantly mellow flavor with little or no aftertaste. One of my favorite American beers.

Best Berger beer I’ve had so far, snappy, summery, and flavorful.

Very light beer, I did like the light hop undertones though. Still would like more hops and give it a little more malt flavor.

No head over a medium gold body. With a name like snowman, I wasn’t expecting this. If it wasn’t a wheat beer, I’d be surprised. Fairly crisp, but low esters, although some slight fruitiness. maybe this is a mislabeled summer beer. A lot like Sierra Nevada Wheat without the overbalanced hops. Which makes this a little better I guess, but it’s still bland and uninspiring.

Slightly cloudy yellow orange color, the head white and dissipates quickly, the lace is adequate. Nose is malt and clean, light citrus tones, front is malt, the top is thin, the finish is quite acidic, dry, and has hop presence, all in all, not what I like.

There is nothing special about this beer. Except for the label, which I really like. Not as bad as your average American macro brew, but not a whole lot better. It is sort of crisp with a slight citrus twist.
