aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Dec 18, 2002 Darker than I expected with a name like that. A little chocolate, not really lager-like flavor (missing that distinctive lager character) Kaya161 (1129), San Diego, California, USA Oct 10, 2002 Reddish-amber colour with a quickly dissipating head. Toasted malkt aroma and sweet malt flavour. It actually seems more bock or vienna-like to me. Not nearly dry enough to be a dunkel. gbzia (195), Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, USA Sep 14, 2002 More of a black bier than a dunkel... not as much malt. Light and drinkable. Pjones6738 (500), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 24, 2002 Nice creamy head, brownish red color. Thin coffee scent. Light coffee taste, with not much else to it. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Aug 24, 2002 Dark red in color, small head that disappeared rather quickly. Aroma was of roasted coffee. Flavor was coffee-ish, and a bit sweet, but finished extremely watery and bland. It had the beginnings of a hop bite, but only the beginnings. Sadly, I was not overly impressed. This is not a bad beer by any means, but it’s nothing to have more than once. Cool artwork on the label, though... PhillyBeer2112 (2084), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jul 15, 2002 A Rush inspired name? Probably not. I mised the fine print IDing this as a Munich Dunkel, so I expected this to be a light lager of some sort. Imagine my surprise when I saw this dark stuff pouring out of the bottle. This has an excellent toasty toffee aroma. Its a clean aroma that isn’t overdone. Small head - no retention...dark red-brown. Nice clean and crisp malt with caramel toffee flavors. Better balanced than their other beers. P-tor44 (886), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Mar 25, 2002 burgundy beige head. thin, first i had of the H.C. Berger Variety Pack. unimpressive
