Alpha Male Ale, kind of sums it up. It is a mostly flavorless beer like what most "Alpha Males" in this country drink, but some hints of the exotic ingredients hidden inside.

Tap at Times Square location. Slightly yeasty nose, light and cheap hops, bitterness without any real hop flavor. A touch of honey, I guess. Complete crap, just like all of Heartland’s beers.

Tap at the Union Square location. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is a little bit floral, but quite subtle. Light wheatiness and a herbal component that I can’t put my finger on. Mint/oregano with a bit of orangey citrus in back. Flavour is quite muddy and dirty tasting though. Earthy/herbal flavour behind a wheat/pale malt base. Hopping and bitterness are low . Slightly yeasty finish. Meh.
