RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 28, 2007 Pours a clear gold. Nose is of doughy yeast.Taste is sweet and yeasty and that dough shines through quite a bit here too. That is the main feature here - dough. It reminds me of when my mother cooked bread or pizza and I tried the dough and thought...hmmm...that aint too tasty. I guess at the time I wanted something sweeter, like cookie dough. But for now this kind of dough is just fine. Feel is slick on the liquid and low on the bubble. Overall a pretty good experience here. Not the greatest tripel ever as I feel the dough is a bit too much for me personally, though it doesn’t ruin it by any means. JoeMcPhee (3671), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 24, 2007 Tap at the Empire State location. Lightly hazy pale golden beer. Aroma is very estery, peach, overripe apricot and light apple. Honey sweetness and some higher alcohol dirtiness that becomes more apparent as the beer warms. The flavour is sweet and full of fat juicy apricot flavour. A hint of spice, but it leans more toward the honey and fruity side of the equation. Overly sweet and gets cloying as the beer warms up. Chewy and honeyed sweetness. Thick texture. Not a great example and the fruitiness gets terribly overwhelming. Meh. UofFkid (108), Orlando, Florida, USA May 25, 2007 Tap. Small head, fruity aroma. Well balanced. Nice offering. The Seasonal Offerings here are not the norm for a "chain". haukur (663), Reykjavik, Iceland May 24, 2007 on draft at the Empire State Building : small head, golden. Alcahol, bananas, dried fruits on the aroma. Some spices in the finish, ok moutfeal. Sweet but noy sticky. OK beer 21iceman40 (1668), north little rock, Arkansas, USA Jun 4, 2005 Nice golder color, not too transparent and topped with a solid white head. Rubber factory and alcohol on the aroma, hardcore. banana’s nuts, and nut bread and rasions and fruitcake in the body. pretty damn decent for a chain, respect.
