rugbydude05 (139), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Jul 9, 2008 On tap, empire state building. Bought this one for my wife and snuck a few sips. Name is very accurate- tastes like champagne and aroma is of berries. Pours a very generic golden color, moderate head. Taste was almost too sweet, and palate was very shallow. Not bad, but definitely more of a ladies’ beer. Mes_and_Sim (3927), London, Greater London, England Jun 29, 2008 A Sim rate (tap at Heartland Brewery, Union Square): Sweet, definite berry. It smells like a (dare I say it?) typical ladies’ beer. Cloudy, amber colour. Such a sweet flavour. So champagne. So berry. Delightful. Sue’s beer blogs would like this. It wouldn’t be too strong. zebracakes (959), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 27, 2008 Part of a Seasonal Sampler at the Chophouse location. Light amber orange, off white head. Aroma is faint fruit. Flavor is very chemically, some fruit and super malty. Not very good. RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 5, 2008 Pours a fogged darker amber. Fruity nose with a good bit of yeast. Flavor is sweet and tangy with a strong and obvious fruit influence. Sickly sweet almost. The feel is thicker on the liquid. The bitter side kind of detracts from the overall of the experience. I love the lambics (this has some similarities), but to me this is just okay - though still decently good enough. Berserkir (15), New York, USA Dec 3, 2007 It is more of a champagne than a beer. Very fruity, very fine carbonation. If you want to go to Heartland for a burger, but your lady friend doesn’t want a beer, this is what you tell her to order.
