A Sim rate (tap at Heartland Brewery, Union Square): Sweet, definite berry. It smells like a (dare I say it?) typical ladies’ beer. Cloudy, amber colour. Such a sweet flavour. So champagne. So berry. Delightful. Sue’s beer blogs would like this. It wouldn’t be too strong.

This is a fruit cocktail, incredibly sugary sweet. If you heard buzz on this forget it. Lots of red coloured lace.

Tap. Empire State. Disappointing. Not much fruit. You kind of have to like really fizzy, pink lager to enjoy this one.

Is it gay to even admit that I drank this beer? It was just a sample anyway. It is supposed to be made just for women and is fruity and champagne like. Pours a wierd light hazy sparkling pink kind of like a rose champagne I guess, but it seemed like they could have filtered it more. Aroma was fruity, apple juice, raspberry, wierd citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor is citrus, raspberry and slighty tart in the end- also lightly yeasty. Finishes highly carbonated and has a light mouthfeel. It was ok.

Ruddy, woody brown with not much head. Clean, coldwater, lightly fruity aroma. Very much like a glass of berry bubblegum. Phenols, raspberry, light vinegar. Finishes quick and tangy with only a hop cameo. Interesting, but just barely.
