eaglefan538 (2013), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Apr 6, 2008 On draft at the Radio City location, one of their specials along with the Irish Red. Pour was golden with a nice white head, strong carbonation presence, bubbles steadily rising, although the head retention was not sustained, lacing ok. The aroma was strongly phenolic, clovey with a wheaty element. The flavor was again strong phenolic with wheaty zing, some fruity esters, finishing sweet. A nice shot at a Belgian, my favorite of my five beer run. TBone (4566), Pori, Finland Mar 12, 2008 Updated: Mar 14, 2008Draught@Heartland Pub, Union Square, NYC
Golden color, good white head. Light citrusy nose. Watery first, then fruity-yeasty notes of apricot. Finish is spicey and a bit alcoholic. American-style Belgian strong ale - not one of the best.
