hopscotch (4355), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Dec 7, 2002 Updated: Mar 12, 2004Very malty, rich aroma. Notes of butterscotch and toffee. Just a tiny floral trace.
Crystal clear, straw-colored ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent lacing.
The flavor is outstanding for the style. Malty and slightly sweet up front with bursts of butterscotch and caramel. Nicely balanced with just enough bitterness to smooth things over on the backside. A hint of grain or hay. The hop versus malt battle going on here is bantom-weight at best. Two skinny kids arm-wrestling to a draw.
Between light and medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. Medium-length, dry, crisp finish. Very refreshing, even in December. obxdude10 (1382), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 22, 2002 Like AustinPowers said, not a whole lot of different things going on with this brew than anyone else’s blond, this was drinkable but not on a regular basis
austinpowers (2818), New York, New York, USA May 15, 2002 An ordinary blond not much different from other american brewpub blonds. Crisy, fizzy. Decent.
