Commercial Description:
Made with real peanuts and loaded with plenty of chocolate malt, this unique brown ale has a deep chestnut hue, a rich chocolate sweetness, and a pleasant, nutty finish.

On tap Heartland Chop House - Dark brown beer with a vaguley nutty aroma. You really can taste the peanuts and it does work reasonably well. The beer however loses marks by being far too thin for its ABV.

An interesting brew to say the least. Quite authentic p-nut butter flavor and certainly aroma. Very different, but I think the novelty wears off fairly quickly, and then it turns out that its a tad too thin in the body, and a little too sour in the finish. Great effort, though.

The color of stained wood, tiny, brownish head - aroma of, yup, peanuts, but something smells artificial about it - tastes like peanut butter and chocolate, but the body isn't full enough to compliment those flavors well - if they make this beer a bit "chewier" then it would be quite good, for now it's a decent brown ale, nothing stand out.

Sparkling clear mahogany ale with a small, creamy, ecru head. The nose is of chocolate and peanut butter. Smells a bit like a Reese's. The flavor is malty, but very thin with subtle hints of peanut butter and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, dry, nutty finish. Unusual beer. Me likes!

I didn't really catch much of a peanut essence to the aroma or flavor, but my sinuses are a bit off today. Just a very good nut brown ale to me.

All the Heartland beers I had were sampled at the Heartland Brewery Chop House at Times Square, Manhatten, NY, on my holiday. An interesting and swanky place where they also serve great food! Dark crimson hue with a light brown head. Super nutty aroma with high evidence of those peanuts. Nutty roasted malt taste with chocolate hints and a touch of caramel with a peanut back bone. Of all the beers I tried from this establishment this is the most interesting and original beer.
