maeib (3802), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Apr 7, 2004 On tap Heartland Chop House - Dark brown beer with a vaguley nutty aroma. You really can taste the peanuts and it does work reasonably well. The beer however loses marks by being far too thin for its ABV. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA Mar 22, 2004 An interesting brew to say the least. Quite authentic p-nut butter flavor and certainly aroma. Very different, but I think the novelty wears off fairly quickly, and then it turns out that its a tad too thin in the body, and a little too sour in the finish. Great effort, though. notalush (1955), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Mar 21, 2004 The color of stained wood, tiny, brownish head - aroma of, yup, peanuts, but something smells artificial about it - tastes like peanut butter and chocolate, but the body isn't full enough to compliment those flavors well - if they make this beer a bit "chewier" then it would be quite good, for now it's a decent brown ale, nothing stand out. hopscotch (4358), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Mar 12, 2004 Sparkling clear mahogany ale with a small, creamy, ecru head. The nose is of chocolate and peanut butter. Smells a bit like a Reese's. The flavor is malty, but very thin with subtle hints of peanut butter and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, dry, nutty finish. Unusual beer. Me likes! HighlanderOne (438), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Mar 11, 2004 I didn't really catch much of a peanut essence to the aroma or flavor, but my sinuses are a bit off today. Just a very good nut brown ale to me.
