This had to be the best beer out of the sampler. Pours black with a tan head. Nice chocolate smell and flavor. Good oatmeal flavor and a little bit of coffee as well. Nice mouthfeel, decent beer.

Sep 25, 2008 On tap on a recent trip to NY. Served ice cold with a Huge light brown head. Sweet scent of coffee and chocolate. Flavor to match. One of the best oatmeal stouts ive had.

Sep 24, 2008 The appearance is dark brown black, with a nice tan head. The aroma is roasted coffee, oats, and chocolate. The flavor is roasty, but has a balanced sweetness due to the malts. Thick mouthfeel in general, but not so much considering it’s a oatmeal stout. Nice roastyness on the palate. Very enjoyable overall, although far from the best oatmeal stout out there.

Sep 22, 2008 On tap at pub. On the light side for a stout but that makes this flavorfull beer very drinkable. Creamy with just a hint of the typical stout flavors.

Sep 6, 2008 Updated: Sep 8, 2008On tap at Heartland Times Square; extremely thick in flavor and texture, dark, with thick tan head. Nice thick oatmeal flavor, not overpowering, well-balanced. Hints of brown sugar made for a strong finish, give me another.

Sep 1, 2008 Draught at Empire St. Building location. Pours a dark black with tan head. Some lacing. Roasty nose. Flavour of coffee and chocolate. Seemed relatively light-bodied. Smooth mouthfeel.
