growler-pours a dissipating off white head and copper/red color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel, secondary spice hops. Taste is sweet/sugary medium malt-caramel, some cherry, very faint spice hops to balance but very boring. On the syrupy side. Minimum carbonation.

Part of a Seasonal Sampler at the Chophouse location. Clear amber, off white head. Aroma is malt, hops. Flavor is honey wheat and sour dough. Pretty watery.

Draught in Time Square location: This one poured a dark, ruby red with an off-white head. It leaves some lacing. The nose is light, with sweet, floral and roasty notes. The taste is mildly sweet, with a bit of roastiness and a good bit of nuttiness. OK.

A brewpub where there are none in the nation’s biggest city. You expect more. But you get this. It’s ok. That’s all. Ok.

Sampler at Heartland, 51st, NYC. Crystal copper colour. Medium-sized white head. Crisp lager character. No noticeable hops. Smooth texture. Nutty flavours and slightly sweet. Finishes with a light crisp bitterness.
