Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 16, 2005 (On tap) Dark golden and hence darker than the typical German Mai Bocks. Very fullbodied with a very alcoholic touch pointing towards whiskey(!) Both malty, spicy and hoppy. An extremely solid beer. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Jul 7, 2004 average maibock. some rockmelon and sugar sweetness. quite pale. fair whiff of alcohol. pretty sticky though JoeMcPhee (3807), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 17, 2005 Pale golden colour. Light honey aroma, candy, sweet malts and noble hops with a cleanish aroma. Sweet malty flavour with a touch of alcohol bite. Nice hoppy flavour balances the finish out. Some citrusy hops in here as well as the light earthy spice. They match with the style surprisingly well. Eyedrinkale (3111), Beer Town, New York, USA May 11, 2004 Almost tan color with a smallish head and a subtle malty aroma. Taste isn’t anything to write home about either. Drinkable, yes but nothing special either. rickgordon (3073), Göteborg, Sweden May 4, 2005 Draught at the Empire State location.
Amber colour. Fresh, sweet and somewhat citric nose. Sweet, very malty in flavour with a slight sourish touch. Grassy. Very full-bodied. Pils malt profile. ABV is pretty well hidden.
