Heartland Old Red Nose Special Edition 2006

Decent beer form one of my favorite places. Attractive appearnce, a hazy red/brown. The aroma is a little sweet, and spicy. The flavor is maybe a tad too sweet, mainly apples and other fruit. Could probably use some hops. Abrupt finish, but not displeasing. Thick mouthfeel. Not bad.

Sweet aroma, cinnamon, apple spice, candied apples, molasses, orange, cherry. Great complexity! Cloyingly sweet in the mouth, unfortunately, bitter cheap hops, citrus rings, mint, maraschino cherries, clove. Decently thick, though too carbonated and bitter for the style. This also could have been fermented out a good bit more. Still certainly one of the better offerings from the brewery, and I think fits the "special edition" bill nicely.
