chicagodri (540), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2008 Part of the sampler at Heartland. Pours amber/red. Kind of a bland beer though. A little bit of malt and not that much else. I thought it was a little watery.
bsm80 (104), Massapequa, New York, USA Sep 6, 2008 On tap at Heartland Times Square; my favorite home brew from Heartland. A nice balanced aroma and flavor. Hints of toffee and nut, nice bitterness to it, sweet finish. Spab (55), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 Draught at Empire St. Building location. Pours a clear red colour with an off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet malt. Likewise with the flavour. Palate is smooth. Capa (738), Yokosuka, Japan Aug 11, 2008 Light fruits, light hops, some bitterness, and caramel malts. Crisp and refreshing but not all that flavorful. It is beer, but thats about as far as it goes. Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Jun 29, 2008 A Sim rate (tap at Heartland Brewery, Union Square): Toffee and caramel popcorn aroma. Slight sweetness in addition to the grains. Nice malts, but not much of it. Good lace and head (though it’s been sat there a while). Amber/red in colour. Bland flavour that’s a bit metallic, tart and grainy. It’s not one of their best.
