Commercial Description:
Our Christmas beer. This year’s Sandy Paws will be a Baltic Porter - think Dopplebock with more roasted flavors. Big, roasty, malty. A great beer to sit by the fire with.

bomber - clear, dark brown with frothy brown head; chocolate, nuts, rich candy malt, licorice; quite sweet and thin bodied; smooth, almost oily at times; raw sugars and chocolate; amazingly uninteresting, but completely lovely at the same time

Bottle. Clear brown, light tan head, doesn’t last long. Nose: toffee malts (munich?), cake/fudge/chocolate, light oxidation, light mineral/metal note, but overall the nose is rich, toffee-centered and inviting. Body is medium to light, dissolves in the finish. More of the minerally/metallic character shows up, still chewy, slightly sweet, little bit of roast at play. Close to being really delicious.

22 oz bottle. Dark cola with a beige head that settles to a haze. Nose is coffee, chocolate, molasses and brined black olives. Medium body with a faint tingle. Taste is sour dark chocolate, espresso and peanut. Dry finish with a little tar and tobacco, earthy bitterness. A good rustic Baltic.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a very dark, almost black color with a thin tan head that quickly recedes to a small ring around the perimeter of the glass. Held up to a strong light, a dark ruby hue is exposed. The aroma is heavy on coffee, mocha, and roasted malt. Hints of vanilla and dark fruit are hidden in the background. The palate is dark roast coffee, chocolate, and heavily toasted malt. A delicious coffee flavor persists on the tongue, along with a slight bitterness on the back of the throat. This is a well done Baltic Porter - easy to drink and very enjoyable.

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing! Pours a deep dark reddish-brown with an off-white ring. Rich sharp aroma, of burnt malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is big and sharp, of burnt toasted malt and chocolate. Lingering burnt notes. Very nice.
