Fresh, it is a much different beer. It was definitely better fresh, but of the four varieties that I had skunked in a variety four pack, this one was hurt by the skunking the least. What I mean is. That the beer didn’t taste, look or smell anything like what it was supposed to, but the beer created by the skunking was still a drinkable beer.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium gold with a small, white head that mostly diminished and left virtually no head. The aroma was light malt, some flower, perfume, herbs, and grass (but not like those found in hops) and even more herbs. The initial flavor was moderately sweet, while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly bitter and very lightly sour like lemons with an average duration. The flavor was very herbal and a little lemony. The light to medium body was slightly dry, but a little syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a dry finish. reddragon (28), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

Aroma very strong with notes of cask and, well, peat. First sip is slightly bitter, but with delicious cinnamon and, well, peat flavors. Complex. Further tastes and the initial dryness subsides, leaving a clean, refreshing ale with floral character. Heather ale indeed. beervis (223), People’s Republic of Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, England

| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Scottish heather ale that was from a bottle. You know. other people are saying flowers and I agree. Iguess they are right though I don;t know I would have picked it up if I hadn’t read what they wrote. Medium palate. Bitter, but good. douglas88 (1576), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2007 Bottle. Pours a light golden with a frothy head. The aroma is mostly floral with some smokey malt. The taste is light; some sweet malts, some floral/heather flavors and some spices. Overall, a interesting beer. I give it respect for using Scottish (Gaelic) and for being unique. Not bad. wilderthanyou (413), Guelph, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 2, 2007 A strong golden colour, with a short lived white head. The aroma is pleasant with a flowery herbal notes. The flavour is unique, and damn tasty, at first it is a bit spicey, with touches of ginger, a sweet touch of honey, some eucalyptus in the middle, and a light herbal bitterness. All and all a top notch, and unique beer. RaphaelN (195), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Bottle shared with a friend. New style of beer for me. Peat-like smell, with a flower-fruit like aroma. Had a moderate palate with flavours of spiced wine, malt and oddly enough.... flowers? yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Pours a gold colour with a thin white head. The nose is fruit, mild peat and earth tones as well. The taste is intriguing, like floral imbued gingerale., somewhat simiilar to their Ebulum. It has a very nice, clean, fruit and floral finish.
