hbchrist (11), North Carolina, USA Sep 7, 2007 Light palate, clears off the tongue nearly instantly. Smells lightly sweet, lacks any distinctive character. Not bold or remarkable enough to warrant $2.50 per bottle. crazyvin (1246), New York, USA Sep 6, 2007 Very earthy aroma, some sweetness too it. Flavor was a mix of sweet caramel notes and some floral hop notes. light bodied and easy to drink yet it was kinda thick on the tongue. Really enjoyable. Woodpulp (4), New York, USA does not count Sep 2, 2007 A very earthy beer. Full of organic floral tastes. cloudy in appearance. Not too carbonated, flat almost. This is not a bad thing. Wine like finish. very good and flavorfull Choos (504), Taylors Hill, Australia Sep 2, 2007 Aroma: citrus, cider notes with a hint of cinamon and floral. Appearance: couldy orange/brown with a flat head made from large bubbles. Flavour: sweet malt lots of herbal character giving way to candy fruit flavours and a hint of cinamon. Palate: great mouthfeel nice and thick, gently carbonated. Finishes lightly dry with tomato sauce in the aftertaste. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Fraoch Heather Ale

Rogermoore (34), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 22, 2007 Heather and BEER ! THESE are wierd. Earthy smells and flavors. I imagined the vikings drinking this before ransacking a villaging and killing its inhaitants. The poor picts didn’t standd a chance or maybe it was the scotts drinking the beer. Either way. vedry good tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Aug 21, 2007 Bottle. Very fragrant. Lots of floral notes. The heather definitely stands out. There’s also some pine, herbs and wet forest. Pours golden/copper with a nice creamy white head. Some honey, grass, hay and malt on the palate. Body starts fairly full but finishes pretty watery. A nice beer, though. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Aug 20, 2007 Updated: Dec 27, 2007Lots of suspended particles sometimes but the color is nice. Smell of honey, flowers, and herbs. The Fraoch Heather Ale is like drinking the forest. Even if it is on the thin side, I believe it might be one of my favorite of the Heather beers. It is intensely herbal and wholly unique. Slight camphor taste. Dry and astringent. It’s also light and quaffable.
