Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Aug 20, 2007 Bottle, Had this in a rather nice ceramicy old fashioned Fraoch mug/cup that I picked up with a bottle of Fraoch a few years ago, so unfortunately the colour is a bit of a mystery to me. Honey on the nose along with defiante floral notes. Tasted a little floral, some honey, and garden herbs. A good beer and despite having had this frequently it still remains a very interesting beer. Quietman (160), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2007 Bottle.Hazy amber,off-white head.Malty floral and honey aroma.Sweet earthy flavor, only a hint of bitter.Medium body.Short dry finish.Good, worth another try. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Aug 15, 2007 Bottle-Cloudy amber color w/a white head. Sweet floral aroma. Sweet malt flavor of fruit w/some traces of pine, grass, honey, & peat. Dry finish. Drinkable, but unspectacular. Just not much to it. Marsiblursi (1631), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 9, 2007 (Bottle) Pours hazy light amber. Spicy, floral and almost a bit bubblegum like aroma with tones of heather, mint and sweet gale. A bit earthy. Rather sweet and fruity with red apples up front but also some notes of sweet pears. Spicy and floral flavour with heather, mint and sweet gale. Quite malty and light sour. Abrupt finish. Light to medium mouthfeel and body. berkshirejohn (1767), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Aug 7, 2007 500ml bottle from Waitrose, Twyford. Gold with a white head; fragrant floral aroma; light, sweet and malty flavour with a definite floral edge; dry finish. jerohen (1602), Bussum, Netherlands Aug 5, 2007 A friend of mine had been looking for this beer for several years, and he looked like the happiest guy alive when i brought him this. Light amber coloured, medium white head. Flowery aroma. Sweet malty flavour, flowery notes are still present. Very refreshing. Nice brew. yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA Aug 1, 2007 Fraoch is a light amber ale with a bubbly white head that mostly diminishes. It has a lot of aroma! It’s medicinal and grassy and sweet like honey or candy. It is very smooth-- medium bodied with a mineral finish. The flavor is more of the same: herbal, grassy, candy. Very unique! Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Jul 29, 2007 From the bottle. Aroma is sweet with caramel malt forward with light roast tones and some heather. Appearance is light gold with a persistant white head. Flavor is sweet malt with herb tones forward followed by some slight sour and tart flavors. Mouthfeel is medium/light bodied with good creaminess and even a creamy finish. Overall, very good, well made and not too sweet for such an old style. The sourness even works as a fairly good compliment.
