| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Poured cloudy dull orange, with small quickly diminishing head. Aroma is funky and grainy with some sweet notes of orange, pommegranate and a little alc. Tastes dull sweet malt, cranberry. Body is very light, with a tiny carb taste. At first sip it is boring and almost puts me off, but as I let it sit in my mouth I warm up to it and it takes on the velvty texture that I imagine a heather ale should have. This can’t change the rest of the beer for me though. Blehh... redlight (1457), Winter Park, Florida, USA

Very enjoyable. Deeply hazy, invitng amber with small but frothy head. Floral, Honey, malt, with herbal spiciness. Mild carbonation, nice quaff. GG (1615), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 15, 2007 NorCal tasting June ’07 - While this was a surprise beer, after a few sips it really started to get that.."Am I done with it yet" feeling. A really thin and watery beer, the nose was really flowery with a sour berry taste. It also had something that I just could’t place my finger on it, almost like a honey-like quality. Nothing worth looking at here in terms of pint sized drinking, because it’s just too damn boring. A half-pint, perhaps just because it’s pretty different. Cybercat (784), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2007 I got this in a four-pack of historic Scottish beers, which was just too much for me to resist. Aroma is strong, malty, and very pleasant. It pours out an orange-amber, rather than yellowish or brownish, with a thick head. Taste is a tad thin, but pleasantly malty with a nice bitter kick. A refreshing and smooth ale - I can see, or rather taste, why it has lasted for four millennia. BDR (2153), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
