Maverick34 (686), New York, USA May 12, 2007 Different tasting but not really thhat great IMO - very herb/vegetabley which isn’t really a good thing. Pours light amber w/tiny head, little carbonation. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden May 5, 2007 (Bottle, White Horse, Parson’s Green, London 27 Apr) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with a short, frothy, off-white head. Fruity, floral nose dominated by heather, honey an bog myrtle. Fruity, spicy taste with heather, herbs and honey. Rather sweet, extremely herbal. Not really balanced, but definitely interesting. pubbe (493), Højbjerg, Denmark Apr 25, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy amber with mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma has malt, dried fruits and a little hint of yeast. Flavor has slightly sweet malt and caramel. A bit watery on the palate. Softly carbonated - well balanced, but lacks hops. A deep amber color with a nice head. The aroma was not bad with a little light struck. I am sure this has come al ong way to go down my gut. The flavors where light and nice but I was expecting more. This was a sweet beer but I was hoping for more spices. lumberjack (178), Michigan, USA Apr 15, 2007 Bottle part of "Historic Ales of Scotland" pack. Semi-clear gold appearance with lasting head. Sweet, malty aroma. Taste is also quite sweet and dry, and you can taste the honey. This was far too flat and watery on the palate for my liking. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 14, 2007 Bottle. Low white but lasting head. Clear yellow body. Sweet and fruity aroma. Sweet and weak fruity flavor and mildly hoppe. radagast83 (1273), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Apr 12, 2007 Bottle. Interesting. Nice pour with hazy golden color. Sweet and malty. Hard to really place the flavor, but it was deffinately unique. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Apr 10, 2007 Floral aroma backed by malt. Hazy amber gold color with a minimal white head. Starts sweet with an evergreen or herbal primacy. A bit spicy, and the heather seems to balance out the malt. It even has a fairly dry finish, and something that is almost next to bitter. Interesting stuff.
